Yes Bank shares rise 3% after Q2 business update shows loans surging 24% YoY, deposits up 20%
The company on Sunday reported that its loans and advances stood at around Rs 3.1 lakh crore at the end of the second quarter of FY27, marking 23.8% year-on-year growth from the Rs 2.5 lakh crore loan book reported in the same period of FY26, and 8.6% sequential rise from the Rs 2.85 crore reported in the first quarter of the ongoing financial year 2027.

Yes Bank’s deposits rise 20% YoY to Rs 3.5 lakh crore
Yes Bank’s deposits meanwhile rose 19.5% YoY to Rs 3.54 lakh crore in Q2 FY27 from Rs 2.96 lakh crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. Sequentially, the private lender’s deposits grew 12.3% quarter on quarter from Rs 3.15 lakh crore reported in Q1 FY27. Deposits growth normalised for FCNR(B) stood at 6.5% YoY and 13.2% QoQ. CASA deposits rose around 7% YoY to Rs 1.06 lakh crore.
The bank’s CASA ratio stood at 30% in Q2 FY27, as against 33.7% in Q2 FY26 and 32.7% in Q1 FY27. Normalised for the special RBI scheme, its CASA ratio stood at 31.7% during the second quarter of FY27. Its Credit to Deposit Ratio rose slightly YoY to 87.5% during the quarter under review from 84.5% in the same period last year, although it contracted from 90.4% reported in the quarter which ended on June 30, 2026.

Yes Bank shares have fallen over 2% in a week and 8% in a month, amid an overall decline in the stock market. The shares of the private lender have dropped more than 3% in 2026 so far, outperforming the broader Nifty Bank index which has tumbled around 9% at the same time, driven by multiple headwinds.
In the longer term, Yes Bank shares have delivered around 21% returns over three years and more than 58% in five years.
