Marex Launches Rolling Spot Crypto Product

Marex (Nasdaq: MRX) has launched Rolling Spot, a cash-settled over-the-counter crypto derivative that gives institutional clients long or short exposure on margin. FX News Group reported the launch today, and Marex’s newsroom lists an item dated 1 October 2026 titled “Marex expands digital assets offering with rolling spot crypto”.

The structure means clients do not take on the custody, settlement and operational requirements of holding the underlying assets. The product targets hedge funds, asset managers and digital asset-native institutions.

The launch introduces Neon Crypto, Marex’s digital assets app within its existing Neon platform. According to FX News Group, it offers precision execution, streaming market depth, real-time margin oversight and portfolio management.

Samuel Leyne, Co-Head of Crypto Trading at Marex, said the move is meant to fit crypto into infrastructure clients already use:

By combining this with Marex’s established institutional credit, margin and trading infrastructure through Neon, we’re bringing digital-asset exposure into a framework our clients already know and use.

Samuel Leyne, Co-Head of Crypto Trading, Marex

Leyne also described the launch as an important step in expanding Marex’s full-service digital assets offering, spanning liquidity, execution, clearing, structuring, financing and prime brokerage, and said greater legal and regulatory certainty is driving broader institutional adoption.

The reading below is LeapRate’s, not Marex’s. A multi-asset broker and clearer that sells crypto exposure as a margined derivative can fold it into the credit lines and margin it already runs for the same prime clients. Brokers and liquidity providers serving institutional crypto flow may now compete with that integrated offer.

Operators with an institutional crypto business may want to compare their own set-up with it on three points: how credit is extended, how margin is calculated and monitored across asset classes, and how financing is integrated with execution.

Which crypto assets Rolling Spot covers, which Marex entity issues it, which jurisdictions it is offered in and when it becomes available to clients are not stated. Pricing, leverage and financing terms are also undisclosed.
