CMC Markets launches CMC Funded prop trading programme

CMC Markets has announced CMC Funded, a simulated proprietary trading evaluation programme developed through a strategic partnership to identify and support trading talent. The programme operates separately from CMC Markets and is not a regulated product or service provided by CMC Markets.

Verichain, an AI-powered recruitment platform connecting candidates with companies across finance, trading and technology, has been announced as the programme’s first referral partner.

All participants receive a dedicated $100,000 simulated trading evaluation provided by CMC Funded. Account size, performance target and risk parameters are pre-set and consistent for every participant; candidates who pass receive a Verified Trader badge and are offered an interview opportunity through Verichain.

According to CMC Markets, CMC Funded does not open live brokerage accounts, hold client money, execute customer trades or arrange investments. All participant accounts remain simulated, and performance-based rewards are subject to the programme terms and eligibility criteria.

Lord Peter Cruddas, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CMC Markets, said: “Demand for proprietary trading programmes is growing rapidly, and we have listened carefully to what traders want: greater trust, clearer rules, stronger technology and a more professional experience.”

Benjamin Charbonneau CFA, Managing Director and Head of the CMC Funded programme, said: “We are clear that every customer account remains simulated and that rewards are paid based on performance in that environment.”
