Investor Buys Montgomery Hyundai Plant, Adding 240K-SF
PRP Real Assets acquired the newly-built Hyundai-Mobis Class-A, Flagship Redistribution Center in Montgomery, AL for $66.5 million. The property is leased to Hyundai for 14 years and guaranteed by Hyundai-Mobis. PRP Real Assets has also agreed to provide an additional $30 million in funding to expand the facility’s footprint by over 240,000 square feet.
Serving over 2,000 dealers nationwide and encompassing over 450,000 square feet of Class-A, mission-critical logistics space, the Montgomery, AL facility is the primary redistribution center for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis aftermarket service parts in the United States. The property was delivered in September of 2025 on a 60-acre site. The site is fully integrated within Hyundai’s broader 1.6 million-square-foot campus in Montgomery, AL and is fully entitled for significant expansion.
Hyundai-Mobis, who occupies 100% of the building, has committed $26 billion to United States operations through 2028 and is increasing domestic manufacturing capacity by 64%, the largest expansion announced by a foreign automaker in the current cycle.
