Former Elliman Team Exec Returns As National Brokerage COO

Douglas Elliman is adding another familiar face to its executive team.

The firm has hired Jamie Gagliano, a former chief operating officer for two of the firm’s formerly top-performing teams, as the chief operating officer of its national brokerage.

Gagliano is re-joining Elliman from Corcoran Group’s Noble Black & Partners team, where she has served as the chief operating officer for the last year. Gagliano joined Black’s team in 2023 and helped oversee its 2024 combination with another top-performing team before Black and his teammates departed for Corcoran in September 2025 after roughly a decade at Elliman.

Gagliano previously served as the COO of the Holly Parker Team, working on the team for nearly a decade after nine years working in operational roles at a hedge fund. Parker departed Elliman after 24 years for Compass in 2024.

Gagliano is the second major hire focused on Elliman’s national brokerage operations this year after the firm brought on Lena Johnson, the former chief marketing officer of One Sotheby’s, in April to serve as president.

Elliman has recently been touting its transformation into an AI-forward company, which includes an overhaul of its technology and launching a new company powered by Google Cloud AI. Part of Gagliano’s responsibilities will be ensuring that the company’s tech changes come in ways that make agents “operate more efficiently,” she said.

She said she appreciated Elliman’s lack of debt and its singular brand focus, which comes in contrast to competitors like Compass, Corcoran and Sotheby’s International Realty that are still navigating consolidation.

CEO Michael Liebowitz noted that Gagliano’s experience working with agents and understanding how they use technology made her a “great fit.” The scale of the role is a step up from overseeing teams of a few dozen agents, but Liebowitz said he would “much rather have somebody come in from a smaller role running teams who understands every aspect of how things work.”

Gagliano is the latest in a slew of new faces on Elliman’s executive page, several of which have returned after time away.

In December 2025, the company brought on former vice president of marketing Natalie Passerini as chief marketing officer. In February 2026, Caitlin Chagan returned after less than a year to serve as the president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, where she had worked for a decade before departing for a development startup.

Elliman also hired Chris Reyes from Brown Harris Stevens to serve as chief technology officer in November 2025.

Last month, the firm hired a director of AI enablement, Nick Patino, to push the adoption of AI tools across the firm through its new data arm, Elius. Sharon Milz, the chief information officer of Time, is also slated to join the firm as its head of AI technology transformation.

Changes on the brokerage’s executive level have also included exits from the firm and new titles for brokerage veterans.

Richard Ferrari announced last month that he would be stepping down from his role as head of brokerage in New York City to serve as a senior executive advisor to the firm. In June, former Chief Strategy Officer Wendy Purvey, who had been hired less than a year prior, left the firm, according to LinkedIn, and long-time head of residential leasing Hal Gavzie and the firm also parted ways in January.
