TradeStation Expands Futures Offering with CME Group Single Stock Futures | LeapRate
TradeStation Securities said Thursday that it has added CME Group single stock futures to its product line-up.
The brokerage, which will now offer a new suite of financially settled futures contracts on individual US stocks, explained that the contracts allow traders to take long or short positions on individual US stocks through CME-cleared futures without owning or borrowing the underlying shares.
They come in both standard, with a 100-share multiplier, and micro sizes, with a 10-share multiplier, giving traders greater flexibility in how they access individual stock exposure.
The initial launch includes 55 standard-sized and 22 micro-sized contracts across more than 50 leading US stocks from the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100 and Russell 1000, including Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, Meta, Nvidia and Tesla.
The contracts trade nearly 24 hours a day, Sunday through Friday, on CME Globex.
“SSFs give active traders one more way to trade the names they’re already watching,” said John Bartleman, president and chief executive of TradeStation Group. “We’re pleased to be among the first retail broker-dealers to offer CME Group SSFs and continue expanding access to innovative futures products.”
Tim McCourt, global head of equities, FX and alternative products at CME Group, said broader access to the centrally cleared, financially settled contracts brings the capital efficiencies and near 24/7 access of the futures market to leading US stocks.
TradeStation cautioned that, like other futures products, single stock futures carry a high degree of risk and use leverage.
