Veiga holds the role of group chief information and operations officer at Standard Chartered Bank, which his LinkedIn profile dates to June.
He spent the prior year as group chief information officer, starting in May 2025.
His profile states that he oversees technology across corporate and institutional banking, wealth, retail and business banking, and corporate functions, covering more than 50 markets and roughly 18,000 colleagues.
He led wealth, retail and business banking technology across 35 markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia from September 2023, before the group-level appointment.
