Drew Scott Transforms His Daughter’s Bedroom Into ‘Whimsical’ Wonderland
“Property Brothers” star Drew Scott has showed off the stunning bedroom overhaul he carried for his 2-year-old daughter, Piper, proudly unveiling his impressive renovation of the space, while opening up about his inspiration for the project.
The HGTV icon, 48, took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse at the newly-transformed space, which he noted was designed to “grow” with his daughter, whom he shares with his wife, Linda Phan.
Scott shared footage of the bright yellow room inside his family’s Los Angeles home, alongside an adorable message that read, “Whimsical, playful, and built to grow with her. We LOVE how Piper’s room turned out!”
In a tour of the renovated room, the reality star proudly showed off a bold yellow striped accent wall, in front of which sits a cozy yellow tufted bed frame that has been decked out with pink, blue, and white pillows.
Adjacent to that centerpiece, Scott added a rose-colored armchair and a matching ottoman. Behind that cozy seating area, there is a large window with floral curtains.
An enormous teddy bear could be seen at the foot of the bed, while a shelving unit had been filled with fun toys, including a felt flower stand, knitted honey and jam jars, several educational toys, and piles of books.
The video then cut to a clip of of another shelf, complete with a custom book that had Piper’s name engraved into its pages, as well as several other knickknacks, like a framed photo of a tree, and a beautiful set of pearl trinket jars.
Scott added several different lighting fixtures around the room, including a rose-hued lamp at the center of the room, as well as beautiful green glass accent lights on the walls.
A pink rug with elegant floral details is seen on the hardwood floor to add a cozy touch to the space.
He captioned the video, “What’s your favorite detail?”
Scott and Phan tied the knot in 2018. They welcomed their son Parker in May 2022. Piper was born in May 2024.
The reality star regularly offers a glimpse into his parenting journey on his social media accounts, even revealing in June that he had been through a “heartbreaking” incident with his son that made him rethink the way in which he does business around his kids.
He said, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if you run a mile a minute, which I tend to, I think you might relate to this story.
“I came home one day and I saw Parker, and I’m like, ‘Hey Parker, give me a hug.’ And he sort of ran away, and then he went and picked up one of his toys and held it to his ear. He actually started walking around and going, ‘I’m on a business call.'”
The TV personality and home guru confessed that the moment hit him hard because it made him feel as though his kids believe he isn’t being attentive.
“It was heartbreaking for me because he just saw me on calls all the time. So that was a wake-up for me to not be on my phone when I’m around the kids. To show them that I’m actually present, I’m listening to their questions, I’m answering, I’m playing with them,” he said.
At the end of his post, he gave other parents advice, suggesting, “It’s going to feel pretty empty at the end of your career or at the end of your life if you look back and all you did was work. And don’t be that person checking your phone when you’re hanging out with family.”
Scott and his brother, Jonathan Scott, have been hard at work on their latest HGTV project, a “docu-style” special that they previously revealed is unlike anything they have worked on before.
While speaking to People magazine in March, the twins explained that their show, “Property Brothers: Under Pressure,” which hit screens on March 29, gave fans a taste of something new—not least because of the unique cast of participants they assembled to take part in the series.
The show sees the brothers helping future homeowners make the best decisions when it comes to purchasing a property—joining them on every aspect of the buying journey, from choosing a dwelling to decorating it.
It charts the journeys of buyers who are all dealing with a unique set of circumstances, including a couple who lost their home in the 2025 California wildfires, as well as a family hoping to create a multigenerational living experience.
“Whether it’s the first couple that lost their home in the L.A. fires or generational families that are moving in together so they can afford to get a house—everybody’s got a different story,” Jonathan told the outlet.
He added that they tried to “intentionally” cast people who were working with “lower budgets” in order to capture “more relatable stories,” rather than following only homebuyers who are seeking out multimillion-dollar mansions.
