Working in Mortgages launches Rising Talent Community to advance industry talent
Working in Mortgages has launched the Rising Talent Community, for professionals who want to develop their career and confidence while working in the mortgage sector.
The Rising Talent Community has been created in collaboration with the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association (IMLA) and will be launched with a webinar on 14 September, at 11am-12pm.
The webinar will allow professionals to take part in conversations and meet with senior industry peers to gain an insight into the profession and engage with potential mentors.
Discussions will include how to build professional connections, grow a personal brand and visibility, gain confidence and get the most out of industry events.
Speakers include Tracie Burton, senior corporate account manager at HSBC UK, Vikki Jefferies, market development director at Legal & General (L&G), Charlotte Dixon, equity release adviser at Aviva, and Danielle Moore, managing director of AE3 Media.

Burton said: “The launch of the Rising Talent Community is about much more than one webinar. We want to create a genuinely inclusive industry community that gives people access to the connections, experiences and opportunities that can help them build their careers and realise their potential.
“For me, diversity has to be at the heart of that. That means bringing together different backgrounds, experiences, perspectives and voices from across our industry, and ensuring people can see that there is a place for them and a route to progress.
“The launch webinar is our starting point, not the finished product. We want the community itself to help shape what comes next, and I’m incredibly excited to see where we can take it together.”
Moore added: “Industry events can play a hugely important role in someone’s career, but particularly when you’re relatively new to the sector – it isn’t always obvious how to make the most of them. Walking into a room full of people you don’t know, starting conversations and building a network can be daunting.
“I’m really looking forward to sharing some practical advice on how people can approach events with greater confidence, make meaningful connections and turn those opportunities into relationships that support their career over the longer term.
“This Rising Talent Community is not just about talking about career development, but helping people build the confidence, connections and skills to take an active role in their own progression.”
