Azura launches Azura Private as Stella team comes on board
Azura Financial has joined forces with Stella Private to launch Azura Private, a new advisory platform aimed at HNWIs, families and corporate clients seeking complex finance solutions.
The new platform will give clients access to tailored capital options through private banks, institutional lenders and private credit providers.

In its press statement, Azura Financial said the offering combines its broking capability with Stella Private’s expertise in private banking, real estate finance, strategic advisory and complex corporate credit.
In an emailed statement to Private Banker International (PBI), Azura Financial said Azura Private is a division of Azura Financial rather than a partnership between two separate entities.
The company declined to disclose the commercial terms.
It also said the move is not a merger, despite some media reports describing it as such.
According to the company, the Stella Private team has joined Azura Financial, with Azura Private established as a new arm of the business.
“There is no separate or jointly owned entity,” the statement added.
The launch extends Azura Financial’s existing operations across residential, commercial and complex lending, as well as insurance through Azura Protect, by adding a dedicated private banking and advisory capability.
Azura Private will be led by Ben Braysich, executive director and co-founder of Stella Private. Braysich was previously national head of property at Commonwealth Bank’s private banking division.
He will be joined by Hugo McWilliam, who moved to Stella Private from LGT Wealth Management, and Chris Kang, whose background includes advising clients across Commonwealth Bank’s private and corporate banking units.
