TradingView Launches AI Screener to Simplify Stock Screening | LeapRate
Charting platform TradingView has introduced a new AI-powered feature designed to streamline the process of building stock screens, the company announced on Monday
The AI Screener, now available within TradingView’s Stock Screener, allows users to describe what they are looking for in plain language and automatically generates a complete screen, including filters, columns, and sorting, in seconds. Previously, creating a custom screen required manually navigating a filter panel to select fields, set values, and organize columns.
Users can access the tool by clicking the AI icon in the filter panel or pressing Shift + A, then typing a request such as “companies in India with the highest market cap.” The system maps the prompt to relevant filters, automatically populates the results table with appropriate columns, and sorts results by the most relevant metric.
TradingView says the tool is built with transparency in mind. An “Explanation” feature lets users see why each filter was applied and how results were organized. The system is also designed to tolerate minor typos, recognizing and correcting them where possible. If a request cannot be interpreted, users receive a prompt to rephrase it.
For those unsure where to start, the platform offers pre-made template requests, which do not count against a user’s monthly request balance.
The AI Screener is available to all paid plan subscribers, with usage limits displayed above the input field and reset monthly. The feature remains in public beta, is currently limited to desktop use within the Stock Screener, and may be subject to change as TradingView continues development.
