Yuno Raises $45 Million to Drive Global Payments Push

Yuno raised $45 million in a Series B funding round to scale its artificial intelligence (AI)-native operating system of global payments and financial services for enterprise merchants, banks and wallets, the company said in a Wednesday (Aug. 12) press release.

Yuno’s platform connects businesses through a single application programming interface (API) to more than 1,000 payment methods and 460 integrations across 190 countries. It has intelligent routing, one-click checkout and AI-powered fraud detection built in, according to the release.

Over the past year, Yuno added 150 new integrations and deepened local coverage across every continent, the release said.

Yuno will use the new funding for research and development, next-generation payments technology and the continued expansion of its global infrastructure. The company’s product expansion plans include extending the platform to in-person payments, deepening the platform’s agentic commerce capabilities and scaling its presence in the United States, per the release.

“Being local everywhere is the hardest problem in payments, and anyone starting on it today is at least two years behind,” Yuno Co-Founder and CEO Juan Pablo Ortega said in the release. “With this round we intend to consolidate that leadership on a truly global scale, with real financial discipline.”

Yuno’s latest funding round was led by Global PayTech Ventures.

Javier Perez, managing partner of Global PayTech Ventures and board member of Yuno, said in the release that Yuno is redefining payments infrastructure.

“Yuno combines global reach, local intelligence and AI-driven execution to help customers increase global presence, authorization rates, reduce costs and scale faster,” Perez said. “I’m proud to support the team as it builds a leading global payments infrastructure company.”

Yuno announced in September that it launched a series of AI agents called Nova that step in with real-time customer outreach and intelligent guidance via phone and WhatsApp when a customer wants to pay, but something goes wrong, such as insufficient funds, a declined card or a verification error.

Nova chooses the optimal outreach method, generates the right script, localizes the conversation across more than 70 languages and adapts to the customer’s responses and preferences, the company said at the time.
