Mortgage Lab is Official AI Knowledge Partner for MIT Live – Mortgage Strategy

Mortgage Lab has been named the Official AI Knowledge Partner for Mortgage Innovation & Technology Live, taking place on 13 October 2026 at etc.venues County Hall in London.

The partnership brings together MIT Live’s reach and standing across the mortgage market with Mortgage Lab’s practical approach to AI education.

Mortgage Lab tests tools against real mortgage use cases, explains what works and what does not, and helps mortgage professionals understand the risks as well as the opportunities.

James Prosser, Commercial Director at Mortgage Strategy and chair of MIT Live, said: “AI is one of the biggest subjects facing mortgage businesses but the industry needs more than predictions and rhetoric. It needs somewhere people can ask difficult questions, see tools tested properly and understand the risks as well as the opportunities. Mortgage Lab brings that practical focus, which makes it a valuable partner for MIT Live.”

Liz Syms, co-founder of Mortgage Lab, said: “Most people in our industry understand that AI matters, but many are still unsure where to begin or who to trust. This partnership gives us an opportunity to help more mortgage professionals approach AI with greater knowledge and confidence.”

Paul Brett, co-founder of Mortgage Lab, added: “AI is not magic and it is not always right. Used carelessly, it can expose data, reinforce mistakes and automate a poor process. Used properly, it can save time and help businesses serve their customers better. Our job is to separate what is genuinely useful from what is simply noise.”

Mortgage Lab will also be represented in the MIT Live conference programme.

Rebecca Whitney will join the panel examining the connected mortgage journey in the AI era, while Liz Syms will discuss how technology is changing the expectations and experience of future mortgage customers.
