Nottingham BS reshuffles intermediary team ahead of specialist lending launches

Nottingham Building Society has announced a series of promotions across its intermediary sales team as it prepares to bring specialist residential lending products and propositions to market in the second half of 2026.

The mutual said the changes are designed to strengthen support for clubs, networks and key account relationships, while helping deliver its evolving intermediary proposition.

As part of the changes, Samantha Watts (pictured) has been appointed to a six-month secondment as national account manager, reporting to Matt Kingston, sales director.

Watts, who has worked as a field business development manager (BDM) supporting brokers in the South West since 2022, will work alongside Beckie Morton to support strategic broker relationships.

Meanwhile, Ami Cammack has been promoted to a field-based BDM role after more than a year in the mutual’s telephony team. It said she will lead growth and development in the Central region, marking her fourth promotion since joining the building society in 2023.

Lucy Smith has also been promoted from intermediary support officer to telephone BDM for the London region, while Rachel Bridle has returned to the sales team following maternity leave.

The appointments come as the mutual continues to expand its intermediary proposition.

During the first half of 2026, it introduced a range of enhancements to affordability, income assessment and specialist lending criteria, while developing products aimed at borrowers whose circumstances fall outside traditional lending models.

Kingston said: “We are entering an important next phase for Nottingham Building Society as we continue to build a mortgage proposition that reflects the realities of today’s market and the changing needs of borrowers.

“Over the past year, we have been strengthening the foundations across our intermediary business, from the way we support brokers to the products and propositions we are preparing to bring forward. These changes are about making sure we have the right structure, focus, and expertise in place to deliver our plans with confidence.

“There is more to come from us in the second half of the year as we continue to develop specialist residential lending solutions designed to support customers whose circumstances may not fit traditional lending models. Strengthening our sales leadership and account management capability is an important part of setting the society up for future success.”
